Magpies Bakery likes making the best of everything. Our Small Hall Gallery is exactly that, the very best use of a space that otherwise might not get the attention it deserves.
Jennifer Brickey curates the Small Hall Gallery, and she’s looking for artists for the 2012 season.

If you’re not familiar with the Small Hall.. it is a hall located between Magpies Bakery and The Glowing Body just north of downtown Knoxville. Jennifer has been curating shows at the Small Hall for about two years. “This space is special in that it is intimate and reminds me of many smaller spaces that I have seen ‘by surprise’ in larger cities like D.C.,” says Jennifer. “I am looking for interesting/funky artists that have a cohesive body of work that could fill the Hall.”

We’ve got another cupcake class coming up this Saturday, November 26. Classes are available for kids ages 4-7 years old, 3-5pm. And for the 8 years and up set, from 6-8pm. Call 673-0471 x.2 to reserve your spot.
Did you make it to the November tasting? It was a Sweet Potato landslide victory. We think it just goes to show that we’re all in the mood for the holidays. Turkey time is almost upon us.

We’ve got classes for the kiddies and classes for the 21+ set (those are the ones where you BYOB). If you want an evening sure to make you laugh, that will also build your cookie or cupcake skills, one of these events is for you. It might become your new holiday tradition!
Sugar Cookies – November 19
3pm -5pm – 8yrs and up
6pm – 8pm — Adults only (BYOB)
Cupcakes – November 26
3pm – 4:30pm – 4 to 7 yr olds
5:30pm – 7:30pm – 8 yrs and up
($45/8 yrs and up; $40/4-7 yrs; $20 per adult)
